This depends on the layout you choose. Some designs focus on 3 big milestones, while others can show 5 or 7 smaller steps. For readability, we recommend fewer, clearer milestones rather than many crowded ones, especially on smaller slates.

Choose one strong image for each step – not too busy, with the main subject clear. For example, one photo for “We Met”, one for “Engagement”, one for “Wedding Day”, or one per month for a baby’s first year. Try to keep style and brightness consistent so the story feels coherent.

Short, simple captions work best. A date plus a few words (like “June 2020 – Our First Home”) is easier to read and looks cleaner on the slate than long sentences. If the text is too long, we may shorten it slightly to protect readability.
