How do I place an order for a custom rock slate photo?
Ordering your personalised rock slate photo is simple and takes just a few minutes:
- 🖼️ Choose your product and design style from our collections
- 📐 Select your preferred size
- 📤 Upload your favourite photo or artwork
- 👁️ Preview your design on screen
- 🛒 Add to cart and complete your secure checkout
Your order goes straight to our Hong Kong studio — we handle everything from there. Your custom piece will be ready within 2 business days.
What photo should I upload for the best result?
For the sharpest and most vivid print on your rock slate, we recommend:
- ✅ File format: JPG or PNG preferred
- ✅ File size: 1MB minimum — 3MB or above is ideal
- ✅ Resolution: 300 DPI at print size for best quality
- ✅ Composition: Clear subject, good lighting, in focus
- ✅ Avoid: Very dark, heavily filtered, or heavily pixelated images
Not sure if your photo is good enough? Upload it and our team will review it before printing. We will contact you if we have any concerns — we never print a poor-quality image without letting you know first.
Can I preview my design before it is printed?
Yes! After uploading your photo at the product page, a digital mockup preview is generated automatically so you can see how your design will look on the slate before adding to cart.
For complex or fully custom designs, our team will email you a design proof for your approval before production begins. We do not start printing until you are happy with the preview.
Can I add a personalised message or gift note to my order?
Absolutely. During checkout there is a gift message field where you can write your personal note. We will include it with the order inside the package. Perfect for:

Can I order as a gift and ship directly to the recipient?
Yes! Simply enter the recipient's name and delivery address at checkout. We ship directly to them with:
- ✅ No invoice or pricing included in the package
- ✅ Your personalised gift message included
- ✅ Beautifully packaged and ready to unwrap
Just a thoughtful, beautifully presented gift — straight to their door.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Changes and cancellations are possible within 24 hours of placing your order, before production begins. To request a change or cancellation:
- Contact us immediately via Live Chat or email
- Provide your order number
- Describe the change needed
Once your item enters production, changes are no longer possible as your piece is already being custom-made specifically for you. The sooner you contact us, the better.
What if I uploaded the wrong photo by mistake?
Contact us as soon as possible via Live Chat, WhatsApp, or email with your order number. If production has not yet started, we will update your photo at no extra charge.
Once production has begun, we are unable to swap the image as your slate is already being printed. A new order would be required. This is why we recommend double-checking your uploaded photo carefully at the preview stage before confirming your order.
Can I order multiple products with different designs in one checkout?
Yes! You can add multiple products — each with a different photo or design — to your cart and complete a single checkout. Simply:
- Go to the first product page
- Upload Photo A and add to cart
- Go to the second product page
- Upload Photo B and add to cart
- Checkout all items together
Each item is produced separately and shipped together in one package where possible, saving on shipping costs.
Do I need an account to place an order?
You can always checkout as a guest without an account — but registered members enjoy a faster, smoother, and more rewarding experience every time they shop.
I completed my order but did not receive a confirmation email — what should I do?
An automatic order confirmation email is sent immediately after every successful checkout. If you have not received it:
- 📧 Check your spam or junk folder first
- 🔍 Search your inbox for "Foto Slate Express"
- ✅ Make sure you entered your email address correctly at checkout
- ⏱️ Wait up to 10 minutes — sometimes email delivery has a short delay
If you still cannot find it after checking the above, please contact us via Live Chat, WhatsApp, or email with your name and the email address used at checkout. We will locate your order and resend the confirmation immediately.
